SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

A locally headquartered company is seeking a strong Senior Accountant for an immediate opening. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for daily accounting operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and related duties. Our client is looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast paced environment to support the company’s continued growth and success.

The company will have a hybrid working arrangement – with part time in the office and part time working from home.

Senior Accountant Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and closing of the books
• Responsible for month-end close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger management
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Help with expense reporting
• Maintain fixed assets
• Helping oversee the Payroll function
• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Assist with property tax returns
• Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Senior Accoutant Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred, but not manditory
• Will wear many different hats and hungry to help throughout the business in all areas
• 2-5 years of overall general accounting experience
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently
