Job Description & Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer you will work closely with engineering teams, data analysts, and product managers to build and maintain high-quality, scalable data infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities

Provide innovative solutions to complex business problems
Develop, review and debug code, following a high standard for quality code, test coverage, and avoiding shortcuts
Collaborate with both technical (data/software engineers) and non-technical (data analysts) teammates
Own pieces of the Seasoned data infrastructure
Continually improve the quality of the product and the process

 

Requirements

3 to 4 years of relevant experience
Proficiency with data models, pipelines, and ETLs (SQL/cron/Airflow)  
Experience with SQL for query design on large, complex datasets 
Experience with Python for data transformation and cleaning
Experience with automated unit tests
Ability to work independently as well as in small teams

 

Recommended

Experience with data streaming (CDC/Kafka/kSQL) technologies
Experience with monitoring tools for large-scale production systems
Knowledge of JavaScript
Ability to recommend continuous improvements to our data governance practices
