Join our Mission – Volunteer Opportunity in non-profit EdTech Social enterprise Startup

Yasmin Interactive Virtual School, a non-profit social enterprise under the Abjad Initiative for Education, is seeking passionate university students to contribute to our innovative EdTech platform. Our project focuses on empowering Arab children worldwide, supporting Syrian female IDPs and refugees, and aiding Syrian children in Internally Displaced Camps. Abjad Initiative for Education is a registered charity in Germany. We are committed to diversity and inclusivity, including people with disabilities and refugees. Arabic language skills are desirable for all roles.

We are currently seeking volunteers for Scrum Master:

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Identify and resolve potential roadblocks to maintain project progress and team efficiency.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
  • Estimated weekly commitment: 10-15 hours per week to contribute to the development of a comprehensive prototype within the designated timeframe.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Scrum or Agile methodologies.

  • Experience in project management and team facilitation.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Arabic is preferred, as the EdTech platform focuses on providing Arabic language education and fostering cultural connections. Fluency in Arabic is advantageous for effective communication and understanding of the target audience.
