On behalf of our client, an innovative Software Development and System Integration company in the Defense & Space industry, we are looking for a talented Scrum Master to join their software team, based in Athens.
A day in the life of a Scrum Master
You will join an agile team and lead software delivery by bringing your agile leadership and coaching to our software engineering team.
Your day-to-day
- Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
- Monitor the quality of Scrum, the effectiveness of the Scrum Team and foster continuous improvement
- Ensure work is made visible to the Scrum Team and stakeholders
- Coach the Scrum Team members in self-management and cross-functionality
- Help resolve conflicts and dependencies within the team and with other teams
- Help the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done
- Protect the Scrum Team from external distractions and cause the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress
- Ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
- Help the Product Owner to be effective in Product Backlog management
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed
- Work with other Scrum Masters in the organization and lead, train, and coach the organization in its Scrum adoption
- Plan and advise Scrum implementations within the organization
What you will need
- Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
- Experienced in the complete lifecycle of software development
- Knowledgeable in Scrum techniques and artifacts with a track record in previous SM position (dedicated SM position is a plus)
- Ambassador of Scrum Values (Commitment, Focus, Openness, Respect, and Courage)
- Scrum Master certification is a huge plus
- Knowledge of other Agile frameworks (incl. Scaled Agile frameworks) is a plus
