Responsibilities

Under general supervision, greets and screens visitors for symptoms of COVID-19 as they arrive at a Legacy facility per the Legacy Health screening protocols and scripts. May provide assistance such as giving directions and general information. Within the scope of duties, the Screener will use customer service skills, problem solving skills and effective communication skills to contribute to the positive patient experience and work environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (goggles, mask, gloves) for prolonged periods of time

Ability to move about the work area in a safe manner

Sitting, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the workday

Ability to communicate clearly in English via voice, phone, and computer with distractions and noise

Manual dexterity and keyboard operation   

Ability to accommodate posted shift start times

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience : Prior customer service experience required. Experience greeting visitors and assisting with their needs in the organization, preferred.

Skills : Ability to communicate, read and write in English. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a calm, professional manner in charged situations. Ability to adapt to change rapidly and positively. Ability to work in collaboration with other team members in a fast-paced environment. Ability to problem solved and identify resources for screening issues.
