Science Graduate Mentor

Science Graduate required to work closely with the Science department providing academic support to students. Ideal role for a Science Graduate who has an interest in teaching.

An oversubscribed East London based secondary school are looking for a Science Graduate to join the team to work as a Science Academic Mentor. This would be a great positon for a Science Graduate who has experience with young people and a potentially interest in teaching.

The role of an Academic Mentor plays a vital role in the running of the school and the school are looking for a Science Graduate who will work with the Head of the Department to provide academic support to students who are studying KS3, GCSE and A Level examinations.

Duties will include liaising with the Head of Department to identify students in need of support, Work with subject teachers to devise appropriate programmes to support students, Provide individual Science support to students studying KS3, GCSE and A Level.

The school are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Science Graduate who is passionate about all things Science and can work well as part of a team as well as on their own. Previous paid or voluntary experience with young people is also required for this Science mentor positon.

This Science mentor post is a full time role Monday – Friday and is due to commence after April half term.
