This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Principal to lead Cameragal Montessori School. Cameragal Montessori School is the only independent, co-educational, Montessori-registered school based in Sydney’s Lower North Shore. The School provides high quality Montessori education to children from infants to age twelve.

This is a rare and unique opportunity to lead the School through the next era of its exciting journey of growth, both shaping and delivering its strategy. The role will be rewarding to individuals who share our purpose: educating, inspiring, and empowering children to fulfil their potential and make positive contributions to the world.

The ideal candidate will be:

-Passionate about leading a school founded on the Montessori philosophy for educating children in partnership with parents.

-A leader who embodies the values of the School, leads by example and supports and empowers staff.

-An excellent communicator with the ability to maintain effective relationships with teachers, administrative staff, and parents.

-Able to develop and drive the School’s strategy

-Committed to effective school governance.

-Knowledgeable about legislative requirements including the NSW Education Standards Authority and the Early Childhood Education Directorate requirements.

-Compliant with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority and Working with Children Checks.

The School’s staff are highly capable and dedicated. The Board is collegial and supportive.

Remuneration is competitive and commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. Cameragal Montessori School operates classrooms in Neutral Bay, Lavender Bay and North Sydney and has approximately 110 full-time students and 50 families in the under 3 programs.
