The Sales Strategy Advancement Professional (Specialty) primary function is to facilitate and lead the coordination and communication between Specialty owners and other teams responsible for sales execution, retention and production and help manage other growth projects within Specialty. Prepares reports and helps measure outcomes, develops project schedules, and identifies necessary team members. Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project and helps move these projects along thru to completion. Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet targets and milestones. Ability to create reports, tell our story through PowerPoints and has basic analytical skills to understand growth drivers. Works to move projects forward and this work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsibilities

The Sales Strategy Advancement Professional (Specialty) coordinates and ensures the timely and orderly flow of all projects from job initiation to completion.

  • Manages discussions, document meeting minutes, notating action items and next steps to help follow up and follow through on actionable items and report /sales outcome.
  • Design and maintain project documentation and develop presentations to summarize work and project.
  • Clearly define goals, objectives and actions and determine reasonable timeline.
  • Collaborates across departments and segments to move projects and ideas through to completion that will enable more sales.
  • Schedules meetings, assignments, and workflows for all team members.
  • Collaborates with all stakeholders involved to keep work on track, within budget, and on deadline.
  • Generates reports for teams/markets and other basic data analytics, summarizing project timelines, assigned jobs, issues/concerns, needs, etc.
  • Regularly communicates project/sales status, highlights, red flags and all must-know information to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Communicates responsibilities, assignments, and deliverables to team each week, and at key points throughout projects.
  • Leverages internal workflow software to manage the key steps of the project.
  • Develops plans of action to prevent delays in sales and projects and/or the department’s workflow.
  • Efficiently identify and solve issues.
  • Develop Proposals for external vendors and/or partnerships that will enable sales and retention.
  • Subject matter expertise relative to insurance industry/ Humana /distribution/sales management.
  • Act as an advocate for all team members working closely with senior leaders, sales executives and managers, IT and marketing partners to ensure project estimations, creation of CBAs, understanding of return on investment/project prioritization, and securing of funding.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years progressive experience driving sales and managing large scale projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office Products specifically, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Strong time management skills, analytical and reasoning skills
  • Must have a room in your home designated as a home office; away from high traffic areas where confidential information may be secured.
  • Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10×1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
  • For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • PMP and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Sales management / sales experience in Medicare/Ancillary products.
  • Progressive experience managing portfolios of similar or dependent projects.
