
Charles River Laboratories
The Sales Intern is responsible for supporting Microbial Solutions sales. Will supports the sales process for specific products, services, accounts and/or sales opportunities via phone and e-mail. This individual works closely with the Microbial Solutions Commercial team to meet and exceed sales quota.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with territory opportunities and product lifecycle management.
- Assist in maintaining a CRM database via updates to sales opportunities, sales stages, marketing statuses, and customer intelligence data.
- Provide pricing, create and submit individualized quotes and support price renewal price process in region.
- Help develop client relationships and retain existing accounts.
- Learn and apply sales techniques.
- Analyze sales performance data to drive improvements and change.
- Update sales documents and sales records, as needed.
- Qualify new accounts per Account Manager request.
- Work with multiple departments on special projects, as needed.
- Collect and analyze data to identify business/industry trends.
- Share customer problems/concerns with relevant departments for quality resolution.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing to drive product promotions and provide feedback on ROI.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Education: Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably to obtain a degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline.
Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT).
- Salesforce experience preferred but not required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
