General Summary:

The Assistant Sales Engineer – UMM provides support for the Umm Technical Sales team. This role is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the people, processes, and products managed by the team and assisting in the ideation and creation of ongoing service improvement resources. This role works in partnership with the technical sales teams, sales reps, and product teams to analyze data and provide guidance and assistance in the development and documentation of potential areas of improvement for all stakeholders and teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support to the Technical Sales Teams, with a high attention to detail
• Responsible for understanding the technical requirements for our teams, partners, and prospects
• Apply technical understanding to analyze and determine areas of improvement for the overarching team, present results in a compelling manor, and implementation of recommendations
• Document process flows for the technical team and cross-departmental and external engagements
• Manages ongoing demo instances and environmental requirements while documenting process flows to accomplish these tasks
• Work to create sales enablement, positioning, and messaging content for engineers and sales reps to utilize during sales engagements
• Responsible for capturing and documenting prospect feedback through win/loss calls, active demo engagement, and self-discovery

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in a related field of study, but not limited to, Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or Business Administration

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid (On site 1 day per week minimum at Tampa or Pittsburgh office location) 
• 0-10% travel may be required
• Professional office environment
