About The Job

We’re looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies in the E-commerce and support its Sales and Business Development strategies.

In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on building the company’s client base and brand through lead generation and multi-channel strategies while also getting the opportunity to contribute to various projects during the company’s early stages.

Join our portfolio company: A German company focused on connecting online shoppers with product experts via its app. The innovative startup helps bridge the gap between offline retail experience and online e-commerce.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Act as a key link between our venture’s sales and marketing departments and continuing to improve the brand through messaging and team performance
  • Develop new business opportunities with significant long-term revenue potential
  • Conduct thorough company-specific research to identify use cases and to understand how the venture can offer added value to their customers
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product and the eCommerce infrastructure market
  • Communicate the venture’s value proposition to target accounts via email or social selling tools
  • Schedule highly qualified meetings with identified target account for Account Executives to build a pipeline
  • Keep meticulous notes to track the venture’s engagement with prospective customers, using Hubspot and other sales tools

Your Profile

  • Already gained some practical experience in consulting, start-ups, tech companies, or business development
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a keen interest in start-ups and technology
  • An engaging and confident personality that enjoys the challenge of presenting new ideas and concepts
  • Effectively work in an independent, structured, and goal-oriented manner
  • Proficiency in MS Office and enjoys working with new software
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Experience with outbound and inbound sales activities and contacting prospects through a variety of channels is considered a plus
  • Experience in working with CRM tools like Salesforce, Hubspot and other tools like LinkedIn is advantageous
