Roving CP AoR Field Coordinator (Only South Sudanese Nationals to apply)

The Roving CP AoR Field Coordinator will provide leadership for CP programing in their areas of jurisdiction in collaboration with all stakeholders and Government Line Ministries. In consultation with the CP AoR National Coordination, the position will coordinate resources for CP programing in line with global IASC standards. CP information management for coordination including assessments and Standing Operation procedures, capacity of CP partners including supporting and strengthnen the CP WG at the state level, Resources mobilization initiatives, strategic partnership with stakeholders for prevention, and advocacy. The main outcome is to see well-coordinated lifesaving multi-sectoral services for children and CP risks minimized.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A child protection professional with a Master’s degree in child protection, law, social work or other relevant field, or a BA degree programme with but extensive CPiE and CP AoR Coordination is acceptable.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in protection/child protection in humanitarian, emergency settings
  • Previous experience in emergency response coordination is essential (e.g. clusters, AoRs and/or sectors).
  • Previous experience in advocacy and in the Monitoring and Reporting Mechanisms (MRM) an asset.
  • Good knowledge of international human rights and humanitarian law, particularly concerning protection of IDPs and refugees.
  • Good knowledge of and experience in using inter-agency standards and guidelines on Child protection, including international legal framework with a focus on IDPs and refugees issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high level of written and spoken English.

Contract Duration: 11 months

Location: South Sudan (Bor and Juba)
