The Position

This internship opportunity will be a part of the newly created Site Alliance and Activation Sub-Chapter (part of Site Management Chapter) as a result of TransformD. This Sub-Chapter is a new concept and way of working for the Clinical Operations organization.

We are looking for an innovative and dynamic Site Management Intern who is eager to work cross-functionally, assisting the Site Activation team in a variety of tasks. As Site Management, we are the interface between Roche Diagnostics Study Teams and the external clinical study sites/Roche Customers performing the studies. Through a collaborative and strong study site relationship, we ensure study/site compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines; affirming the integrity of the generated data and preserving the safety of patients.

Key responsibilities:
Work closely with Study and Site Activation Teams to deliver study start-up tasks
Collect and maintain relevant country, local, state, and site-level regulatory intelligence for future use
Support the team in the development of project plans, communications, presentations, and other materials
Coordinate the logistics and organization of study team meeting agendas and minutes
Support the study team for the compilation of documents required for the ethics committee or competent authority submission
Support new clinical trials and ensure efficient and timely processing of confidentiality agreements, clinical agreements, translations, insurance, and other site activation tasks as applicable
Support the pilots for the Global Site Network initiative
Gain a working knowledge of applicable standards and regulations for clinical Studies (International Conference of Harmonization Good Clinical Practice standards (ICH-GCP), FDA and IVD Regulations)

You are:
currently enrolled in your Bachelor’s studies and will continue to be enrolled during the entire period of the internship.
Alternatively, you are currently enrolled in a Master’s program (or graduated within the last 12 months).
Your studies are preferably in one of the following fields: biology, other life sciences, or a related field
Ability to organize tasks, time, and priorities, ability to multi-task
Required to support multi-national team members, and flexibility in working hours may be needed
Participate and work effectively with multiple cross-functional teams
Understanding of clinical research process is a plus
Eager to work cross-functionally

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
You are organized, system thinker and problem-solver
You foster connectivity with others

Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
