Purpose of the Position:

The Robotic Process Automation Associate Engineer will interact with UNICC’s Client Organizations to help analyze business process needs, facilitate fit-for-purpose solutions and the implementation of these solutions across various digital technology domains, with primary focus being on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) ‘Discovery’ and ‘Center of Excellence (CoE) enablement functions.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objectives of the Centre, as stated by its mandate, are to provide information and communication technology (ICT) services (including training) on an inter-organizational basis.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head, Hyperautomation Solutions, within the Client and Projects division (CP), and within the Hyperautomation (RPA+) CoE Team. The incumbent could be requested to perform any other tasks of similar level in related fields.

The incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Under the guidance of the Head, Hyperautomation Solutions, interact with different external (client) and internal (technical teams) stakeholders to help expand business needs into requirements and explore best possible and cost-effective technology solutions
  • Under guidance, provide first level guidance on Hyperautomation ‘Discovery’ and ‘CoE enablement’ best practices and product tools to external clients as well as internal teams
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of required RPA solutions, by working closely with different technical teams and developers, during the different project phases
  • Prepare artefacts, analysis reports and solution designs that comply with business prerequisites
  • Contribute to build prototypes for emerging technology, testing and knowledge transfer to technology teams
  • Support the Hyperautomation CoE team in exploring technology options, buy vs build decisions and suggesting technology options for multiple ‘CoE/Sub-CoEs’
  • Provide business support to colleagues within UNICC on RPA and associated technologies
  • Keep abreast of latest technology trends to identify innovative solutions in a swiftly changing ecosystem
  • Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new Hyperautomation (RPA+) product releases, in accordance with established configuration management standards
  • Assist in the deployment of tools and process analysis and implementation to assist in ‘Automation Discovery’ & ‘CoE and multiple sub-CoE’ enablements
  • Perform knowledge transfers between the CoE delivery/support transition teams.
  • Assist in the development and updating of software applications related documentation, including technical documentation and system reports; attend operational and other meetings
  • Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full time basis upon request from the senior management

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • At least two (2) years of progressive experience in consulting and developing integrated solutions within a broad IT context; including experience in an international environment
  • Experience in Hyperautomation (RPA+) technical design with experience in consulting and implementing enterprise hyperautomation solutions within an RPA CoE
  • Technical knowledge required:
    • Business Process Analysis: Excellent understanding in assessment and recommendation for optimized automatable processes across domains, designing and optimizing RPA based automated processes
    • Technology Understanding: Have a broad understanding of IT, good understanding of one or more technology-sets, inter-alia, RPA, Enterprise applications (ERP, Document/Knowledge/Records management), bespoke process analysis and application development
    • Product Practices: Understanding of creating MVPs and outcome-based product builds
  • Experience in dealing with customers, whilst maintaining an innovative approach to solutions

Desirable:

  • Experience working for an IT system integrator and/or service provider, supporting external clients is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of multi-RPA platforms (eg. UiPath, Microsoft power automate platforms) is desirable
  • Desirable technical knowledge:
    • Work experience in RPA Discovery platforms, Business case modelling
    • Experience in RPA and good knowledge of complementary technologies

Education:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Desirable:

  • Certifications and advanced training in RPA Discovery platforms, Business Analysis, Business process modelling tools, Process Mining is desirable

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Spanish or French: Intermediate knowledge is desirable

Other Information

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate), including post adjustment (27,9% on January 2022): US$ 62,995.
