Risk and Compliance Manager Syria-Open to Syrian Nationals Only

NRC Syria is looking for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join the mission.

The role holder will be responsible for setting up and managing the Risk and Compliance Management Unit. They will ensure compliance and adherence of all departments on NRC policy and procedures and donor regulations; lead on NRC’s risk management process to enable the country office management to perform risk management activities and make informed decisions. Additionally, they will also oversee and coordinate internal and external audit in addition to managing investigations, Anti-corruption framework and related activities at country office level.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant university field (economics, public administration, and similar).
  • Preferably Internal Audit or Quality Assurance qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a senior role within an auditing/compliance/Support role preferably in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic both written and spoken.
  • Working experience with international donor guidelines.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative.

We can offer

  1. Duty Station: Damascus or Aleppo, Syria
  2. Contract Duration: 12 months- renewable subject to performance, need, and funding.
  3. Travel: Approximately 35% within areas of operation within Syria
  4. Senior Grade 9 in NRC’s Salary Scale. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
