The Opportunity

As our Reward Manager, your key focus will be the development of our strategic approach and thinking to pay and reward as we deliver our People Strategy and support the Transforming Digital Programme as it develops skills and capability frameworks for digital roles in Parliament. The role will combine the delivery of strategic, long-term guidance and plans, and more immediate solutions complementing work already underway.

The key responsibilities will be:

  • providing strategic guidance and advice to inform decisions by senior stakeholders and relevant boards and groups in regards to digital pay and reward policy
  • leading on the pay and reward aspects of Parliament’s new Digital Skills and Capability frameworks (based on the Government’s Digital, Data and Technology Profession Capability Framework)
  • designing and implementing innovative reward solutions that support organisational performance objectives.

What You Need

We are looking for someone with public sector experience of digital rewards along with:

  • deep and broad up-to-date knowledge and understanding of pay and reward with significant senior level experience designing, delivering and evaluating effective initiatives and public sector pay solutions;
  • experience of managing reward for digital and technical specialists is essential; and experience of managing projects within the pay and reward arena, working across a complex organisation to deliver pragmatic solutions, BAU, cultural change and excellent customer service across a range of activities, projects and programmes.
  • familiarity with the Government’s skills and capability frameworks for digital professions, and particularly the reward aspect of those frameworks, is desirable.
  • candidates will need the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

About The Team

The successful candidate will work in the Parliamentary Digital Service’s HR team, working closely with the Transforming Digital Programme. The Transforming Digital Programme is a Parliament-wide programme that will transform the way it works with digital. The programme aims to ensure we meet the rising customer needs for better digital services. It will empower Parliament to keep pace with digital developments and the latest advances in technology. This will involve an overhaul to the existing digital process, operating model and capability. Additionally, a digital skills and capability framework will support development and career progression.
