Reward Advisor – Europe

Lloyd's Register

Salary: €65k – €70k plus competitive benefits package

Based in Netherlands/Germany (hybrid)

Joining a refocused, ambitious global business means more room to create your own outcomes – for someone who is ambitious to build a successful career in Reward, this is a hugely rewarding move.

You will join a reshaped Lloyd’s Register (LR), fresh from sharpening our focus on the global maritime sector. Ours is an open-door culture where you can contribute your ideas to help shape new ways of working.

It is an ideal move for someone who wants to be closer to decision-makers within the business, with the freedom to deliver real change. And you will be doing it with an organisation that has been creating a safer world and a better society for many generations.

About The Role

If you are looking for intellectual challenges spanning Reward and Benefits and a high level of client interaction, you will be in your element here. You will be the face of Reward, proactively building positive partnerships with leaders, colleagues and HR teams across Europe. Calling on your knowledge of compensation and benefits trends, your goal is to find opportunities to make LR an even more attractive and inclusive employer for existing and future talent.

You will become a genuine partner to the business with a wide-ranging remit, including:

  • Managing salary surveys and working with country managers to review benefits and allowances against a fast-changing external landscape.
  • Leading negotiations with suppliers and brokers to ensure external contracts deliver great value.
  • Keeping abreast of Reward trends and cultivating a strong external network to make sure we follow best practice.
  • Expanding external market data sources on salary, benefits, allowances and market trends
  • Getting involved in wider-reaching projects, for example with the Global Reward and Global Mobility teams.

What You Can Add

Equipped with a degree and/or a qualification in HR/employment law, you have probably worked for a similar global organisation before. If you do not already work across territories, this is a great opportunity to do so.

You will need a proven record of delivering large-scale reward processes – e.g. pay reviews, performance bonuses and of applying salary survey methodology. A proven problem-solver, you have shown you can apply job evaluation methodology (including for senior, complex and contentious roles) and analyse large data sets (using Excel). Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors would be an advantage.

Personally, you need a hands-on, can-do mentality coupled with versatile communication skills. In person, you can build trust with colleagues at all levels. In writing, you present your findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling way.

We anticipate that you will spend two days in the office and three working from home – this should balance the visibility the role demands with the flexibility you need.

Why join us?

  • Tackle an intellectually challenging role at a time of organisational change
  • Be part of an independent organisation with a strong purpose – one that is guided by principles, not just profit.
  • An annual salary of at least €65,000 – although we are prepared to offer more, if you can convince us you have precisely the experience and skills we need.
  • Big company benefits including 25 days’ holiday, pension, private health cover and lots more.
  • Work-life balance. We have been working flexibly and at home for years and we are really good at it.
  • A world of opportunity. Succeed in this role and there are so many different, interesting routes for you to explore
