Job Overview: The Resource Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of staffing and specialized services for the federally funded reception program. The position helps specialized services better balance the caseworkers’ workload by connecting them with resources. The Resource Supervisor also participates, as required, in program planning and staff development through coordinating local training, onboarding new staff, conducting annual performance evaluations, and building and maintaining community partnerships. This position reports to the Resettlement Manager.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet regularly (once or more times a week remotely and in person) with direct reports to assign duties and ensure that tasks are completed.
  • Coordinate team service meetings; ensure communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Supervise staff, Housing and Logistics Coordinator, Case Aides, and Benefits Specialist including recruitment, onboarding, and oversight which includes onboarding, training and support of new hires, performance evaluations, and related HR tasks;
  • Approve timesheets and overtime.
  • Identify available resources in the community and establish relationships.
  • Monitor day to day project activities and corresponding resourcing.
  • Work with Resettlement Supervisor & Resettlement Manager to determine resources needed related to case management; Ensure R&P team is effectively connected with resources as needed;
  • Overcome resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, inform management team of any issues related to inability to meet caseworkers and clients’ needs due to resourcing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Indirect Reporting: IRC Deputy Director

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Social Work or an equivalent field of study; Equivalent experience may be substituted;
  • Three to four years of relevant work experience. A significant portion of this experience should include responsibilities in social services, humanitarian relief, public service, or other not-for-profit environment;
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred;
  • A demonstrated record of increasingly responsible roles in a mission and outcome driven environment;
  • Highly organized self-starter with proven success managing multiple priorities, making critical decisions and delivering results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated success achieving goals and communicating effectively a multi-cultural environment;
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written, are required for this role;
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual ability in one of the predominant languages of the local client base preferred;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Commitment to DEI principles and an inclusive work environment;
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area.

Working Environment:

  • A combination of standard office environment and ‘field’ time in and around the service delivery area.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
