Remote and On-site (Academic and Professional)
The Dipendra Kandel Initiative is a public innovation Think Tank based in Nepal with the goal of empowering the government of Nepal.
In addition, the Dipendra Kandel Initiative is also an impact-driven organization (Think Tank) dedicated to provide internship opportunities for Academic Purpose and Professional interest to bridge the gap between the University and Employment.
As a successful candidate for this role, you will be working as a policy researcher at the Dipendra Kandel Initiative.
The Think Tank performs a wide array of tasks, divided among the following:
Policy Research Department (Economic, Social, Transportation, Sustainability, Energy, Development… policy recommendations to governments)
Executive Training Department (Contributing to the training of local and regional mayors and other public figures)
Economic Diplomacy Department (Touristic Collaborations, trade enforcement, twinning cities)
Event Organization Department (Conferences, Seminars, Round Tables…)
Election Observation Department (Contributing to properly conduct Election Observation missions in Nepal and Abroad)
Academic Interns:
You must be enrolled in a bachelor or postgraduate programme in order to access these positions. The internship will be part of your studies plan and will last for as long as your teaching institution requires.
Professional Interns:
You must not be enrolled in any bachelor or postgraduate program (or, if you are, the experience cannot be part of your studies plan). This is a voluntary internship in order to acquire experience. The internship will have a duration of 2 to 12 months either remote or onsite.
Policy research will be carried out in any of the following fields:
Agriculture
Economic Development
Education
Health & Environment
Housing Policy
Information & Communication Technologies
Infrastructure Policy
International Relations & Diplomacy
Legal Policy
Research, Development & Innovation
Sea Policy
Society, Well-being & Happiness
Transportation, or
