Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Clinical Trials Unit manager, the Research Assistant is responsible for providing support to a variety of research studies. The Research Assistant works collaboratively with other Clinical Trials Unit staff including Research Coordinators, Research Nurses and other Research Assistants.

Description:

Duties of the Research Assistant include but are not limited to: Tumor Groups Calendar support for assigned tumor groups. Lab kit prep for assigned tumor groups. Radiology CD ordering and scan submission for assigned tumor groups. Pathology slide ordering and submission for assigned tumor groups. Assistance with reporting on billable tests to finance for assigned tumor groups. Submission of patient expenses to finance for assigned tumor groups. Non-local SAE submissions to ethics board for assigned tumor groups. Filing of regulatory and other study related materials for assigned tumor groups. Archiving of study files for assigned tumor groups. Xeroxing various confidential documents. Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of study procedures. Assistance with other trial related activities.

Required Qualifications:

1+ year of research training or equivalent experience in a research setting. 3+ years experience in an office environment with excellent proficiency in the use of Microsoft office. Excellent typing skills (>50 wpm). The ability to work in a fast pace environment to meet regular deadlines is essential. The ideal candidate will be well organized, detail oriented, accurate, has good communication skills, and is able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical trial research assistant experience. Knowledge of lab test collection kits.
