**Job Overview:**The IRC’s Resettlement, Asylum, & Integration (RAI) department works to create opportunities for refugees and other vulnerable migrants to survive and thrive in the U.S. and Europe through a diverse portfolio of programs aimed at five core outcomes: Health, Safety, Economic Wellbeing, Education and Power. As part of its strategy, the IRC is focused on IMPACT: Raising Program Quality. The Research and Strategic Projects Coordinator will be part of the Research, Analysis and Learning team and will play a critical role in delivering on IRC’s Strategy 100 Data, Research and Evidence and Program Routines Ambitions. In this role, the Research and Strategic Projects Coordinator will develop and support the dissemination of evidence summaries to support program staff in designing evidence-based programs. They will also manage databases to support knowledge management and coordinate the development of project model toolkits to support the design and delivery of high-quality projects.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the RAI evidence helpdesk.
  • Supporting the development and management of a workplan to guide the development of evidence products.
  • Developing search protocol and develop evidence products in response to evidence requests and in accordance with workplan. Proactively update existing program area evidence summaries on a regular basis.
  • Posting new or updated evidence summaries to IRC’s internal intranet: RescueNet
  • Developing communications materials related to evidence summaries, including but not limited to networkwide trainings, email blasts, RescueNet, and Kaya.
  • Collecting and compiling feedback received on evidence products.
  • Coordinating the development of project model toolkits to support the design and delivery of high-quality projects in collaboration with relevant technical advisors within the Program Quality and Innovation unit. Each toolkit will likely include:
    • A summary of the state of evidence related to the intervention
    • A theory of change and guidance for adapting it based on the specific context and project
    • An example logframe and MEL plan narrative with guidance for adapting it based on the specific context and project
    • GEDI considerations for all stages of project design and implementation
    • An example budget
    • Draft JDs
    • Draft workplan
  • Support the dissemination of and training on project model toolkits and evidence products.
  • Manage databases to support knowledge management and objectives outlined in IRC’s Strategy 100 Data, Research and Evidence and Program Routines Ambitions.
  • Coordinate translation of evidence products, toolkits and other resources.

Job Requirements:

Education: A University degree in a relevant discipline (preferably in Social Sciences, Data Science, or a related field) preferred.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience developing and implementing M&E plans and conducting literature reviews and evidence summaries in a professional role preferred.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct literature reviews.
  • Fluency in German a plus
  • Understanding of GEDI principles and their application to project design, M&E planning, and project implementation
  • Experience developing logframes, MEL plans, and theories of change
  • Experience with Airtable a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, facilitating an inclusive process to develop a high-quality end product
  • Experience with instructional design a plus.
  • Excellent, demonstrated skills in Office programs, multimedia programs a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Language Skills: English language fluency. Additional fluency in German strongly preferred.

Working Environment:

  • A combination of standard office environment and remote work depending on location.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • May require occasional travel for in-person team meetings.
