Primary Care International
Background and Overview:
Background: Primary Care International (PCI) is a non-profit social enterprise founded in 2014. Our mission is to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare worldwide. We work collaboratively to enhance primary healthcare systems, driven by evidence and a commitment to delivering quality care. In partnership with the Primary Health Care Institute (PHCI) in the Libyan Ministry of Health, PCI is dedicated to empowering the Libyan primary healthcare workforce to provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
Project Overview: PCI has successfully developed ten primary care courses and a leadership program, tailored to practitioners and managers in Libya. In April 2024, PCI conducted a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop to equip selected Libyan healthcare professionals (Cohort 1) with the skills to cascade this training to their colleagues across various regions in Libya. As part of this, PCI developed a training package for this ToT.
The purpose of this role is to adapt the ToT training content for use in a Tripoli training session for approximately 18 master trainers (Cohort 2).
The project is supported by GIZ’s “Improving Primary Health Care Provision in Libya” work, commissioned by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
