About Interpeace
Interpeace is an international organization for peacebuilding. With over 25 years of experience, it has implemented a broad range of peacebuilding programmes in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Interpeace was officially recognized as an international entity by the Swiss Federal Council in 2018.
Interpeace tailors its approach to each society and ensures that its work is locally designed and driven. Through local partners and its own local teams, it jointly develops peacebuilding programmes based on extensive consultation and research. Interpeace helps establish processes of change that promote sustainable peace, social cohesion, and resilience. The organization’s work is designed to connect and promote understanding between local communities, civil society, governments, and the international community. Interpeace also assists the international community – especially the United Nations – to play a more effective role in peacebuilding, based on Interpeace’s expertise in field-based work at grassroots level. Interpeace achieves this primarily by contributing innovative thought leadership and fresh insights to contemporary peacebuilding policy. It also assists the international community through ‘peace responsiveness’ work, in which Interpeace provides advice and practical support to other international organizations (especially those in the security, development, and humanitarian aid sectors), enabling them to adapt their work systemically to simultaneously address conflict dynamics and strengthen peace dynamics. Interpeace is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and has offices around the world.
Background
Interpeace’s peace responsiveness work is dedicated to creating and accompanying multi-level change processes in the international aid system. The objective of this work is to support international (UN agencies and INGOs) and regional organisations to contribute more effectively to peace through humanitarian, development and stabilisation interventions.
It does so by strengthening the capacity of individuals, organizations and the humanitarian and development system as a whole to deliberately design for and realize peace-contributing outcomes, support locally led change, and strengthen resilience to conflict and violence.
On the other hand, the facility promotes and supports a gradual transformation in organizational forms and operational practices to foster an enabling institutional environment for operationalizing the Sustaining Peace agenda.
Enhancing peace responsiveness is a whole-of-system endeavour which requires changes at individual, programmatic, organisational and systems level.
The workstream on peace responsiveness works along six integrated components:
§ Bilateral partnerships and accompaniment to advance the operationalisation and institutionalisation of sustaining peace in UN agencies and other organisations
§ Design joined up programmatic approaches in selected country contexts
§ Support and build the capacities of key individual change agents in the international system through training
§ Facilitate cross-organisational exchange and learning among UN and other agencies
§ Develop research, evidence and other knowledge products
§ Engage with donors and policy actors
Consultancy
Interpeace is currently looking for a graphic facilitator (or graphic facilitation team) to provide graphic facilitation/recording during an event at the Stockholm Forum 2022.
The preferred candidate will have prior experience working with graphic facilitation for non-profit organizations. S/he will be expected to produce quality work under limited supervision, all the while maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Interpeace team.
Preparation and Submission of Proposals
Interpeace invites qualified service providers to submit a bid to provide the services described in the attached Terms of Reference, and which form an integral part of the present Request for Proposal (RFP).
The call is open to individuals as well as companies who would provide the services of one expert (or a team). Qualifying individuals must be registered as consultants in their country of residence.
The Bidder shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its proposal, and Interpeace shall not be responsible or liable for those costs, whether direct or indirect, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the RFP, nor if the RFP is cancelled, altered or postponed for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, any and all costs incurred for pre-proposal clarifications, oral presentations, site visits, and subsequent meetings and negotiations.
Annex 1 Terms of Reference
Subject: Graphic facilitation/recording – Peace Responsiveness
Objectives of assignment
The objective of this assignment is to provide (live) graphic facilitation/recording at a roundtable discussion during the 2022 Stockholm Forum. The session is scheduled to take place on Monday 23 May from 9:00 to 10:00 CET and will be held online.

§ Convert final drawings into a short video
The tasks and specific deliverables are further elaborated in the table below and may be revised based on written agreement between the parties.

The tasks will be conducted in close collaboration with the Peace Responsiveness team, notably the Head of Peace Responsiveness and the Policy Officer, as well as partner organizations to the event if required. **

How to apply
All offers shall be prepared in English. Offers shall comprise the following documents:
- Technical Proposal
The Terms of Reference (ToRs) of the services requested by Interpeace can be found in Annex 1. The technical proposal can be short and concise, but should include the following information:
a) Description of the service provider and service provider’s qualifications: CV of the applicant (if applying as a team, the CV of each team member) and brief description of the provider’s status and structure**,** including legal status (firm or individual), registration/authorization to work as independent contractor in compliance with local regulations.
b) Track record: Portfolio of previous relevant and high-quality work in graphic facilitation/recording, including at least one example of a similar product. Any other information that will facilitate evaluation of the service provider’s reliability and capacity to provide the services. This may include the description of previous work provided to similar organizations.
c) References: Contact details of three clients that could be contacted for reference check.
d) Methodology and approach: Brief explanation of the approach to the design process and proposed detailed timeline for required project outputs. If you are applying as a team, provide an outline of the roles and responsibilities of each team member.
- Financial Offer
The separate financial offer should contain a proposed all-inclusive fixed rate, in USD, according to each project output (see deliverables table).
The cost of preparing a bid and negotiating a contract, including any related travel, is not reimbursable nor can it be included as a direct cost of the assignment.
