Your Role We have an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience as new or established assistant buyers to join us at George.

In this role, you will form a critical part of the team to develop, source and drive a department strategy.

It is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career in fashion buying and is passionate about delivering stylish and affordable pieces that have the power to inspire joy and an unexpected smile.

This role will sit within our Lab16 division where we this role will buy our internal brand G21 across the whole categories giving a unique opportunity to be involved in a complete brand DNA .

You will also have the opportunity to work with external partners in this department and drive Innovative ways of working within the business .

No day is the same and you will be at the cutting edge of testing and trialing new ideas and concepts in the business .

About You It is essential for this role that you have had experience of range responsibility within a retail fashion buying environment through previous employment .

You must have experience in working with UK and overseas suppliers/ factories to develop multi category product as well as a strong critical path understanding will be key A broad knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and an innovative approach and desire to drive a more digital way of working Enthralled & intrigued by our customer and an unrivalled passion for product and able to demonstrate Commercially savvy and driven by financial success.

Ability to interpret data and focus on what will deliver value to the business.

Agile, flexible, open to change and with a test-and-learn mindset, working at pace.

Be able to collaborate with teams such as marketing , retail execution , sourcing and working tightly with design and merchandising .

Deliver right product right time , right price underpinned by the right sourcing strategy .

Self-starter, comfortable taking accountability and creative in problem solving.

A strong negotiator .

Confident, inclusive and engaging in communication.

With a good taste level and eye fro detail in the product .
