
FBC, Canada's Business Tax, Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist
Pay $45-70K based on experience
Location Must live in Canada
Position Overview
As a key member of our Virtual Tax Department, the Remote Accountant & Bookkeeper will be responsible for collaborating with Members and the team to deliver high quality bookkeeping & tax filings for our Virtual members.
Key Responsibilities
Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
- Preparation of tax filings, including corporate tax returns, ensuring timelines are met
- Full cycle accounting; recording of sales, expenses, accounts payable & accounts receivable in QBO
- Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Preparation and filing of GST/HST returns
- Provide client communication in a clear and concise manner
- Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Experience using QuickBooks and/or other cloud based bookkeeping programs
- A minimum of a college diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Business
- 3+ years of experience completing tax returns (Corporate returns a huge asset)
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong attention to detail to deliver high quality and accurate work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management skills, balancing competing priorities to deliver on time
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word and Excel
