JOB CONTEXT:

Following a first step dedicated to assessment both in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries HI is now developing a large-scale inclusive, immediate and multi-sectoral humanitarian response to address the most acute needs of vulnerable conflict-affected populations in Ukraine and in Moldova in the frame of a 2-countries program.

HI has designed a multi-sectorial intervention aiming at meeting the Protection, Health and Basic Needs of vulnerable conflict-affected populations, while mitigating the risks caused by explosive ordnance contamination and facilitating the delivery of aid and inclusive humanitarian action in Ukraine. HI will primarily target the most vulnerable individuals including those injured, persons with disability, women, children, and older people, addressing the needs of internally displaced persons having fled their homes in search for safety, as well as those unable to flee and yet affected by the large-scale conflict.

YOUR MISSION:

Under the responsibility of the Rehabilitation Project Manager, the Rehabilitation Technical Officer contributes to the implementation of Humanity & Inclusion’s mandate and 10-year strategy in his or her home country. He/she contributes to the implementation of projects by providing technical expertise and ensuring that the quality and impact of the project(s) concerned is optimised. He works closely with the programme’s technical team.

Responsibility 1 : You provide guidance and technical support to projects in accordance with the overall technical frameworks and standards

-You provide appropriate technical guidance and support to project managers and/or specialists

-You ensure that the project(s) activities are implemented according to internal quality and technical standards and proposes adjustments or improvements if necessary.

-You adapt project documentation as required in accordance with global technical norms and standards

-You contribute to the regular reporting of the rehab technical activities of your perimeter (collection and analysis of the technical data collected) in conjunction with the project team and the MEAL team.

-If relevant, you ensure coordination and collaboration with the technical partners of the project as delegated by the specialist or the project leader.

Responsibility 2 : You provide technical learning from projects

-You collect the elements necessary for capitalisation or scientific documentation exercises

-You contribute to technical learning under the responsibility of the specialist or project manager, based on good practice.

-You contribute to the terms of reference for evaluations

-You implement recommendations for improving the technical quality of projects

Responsibility 3 : You contribute to the animation of the rehabilitation sector

-You contribute to recruitment

-You contribute to or leads the necessary rehab technical training

-You contribute to the skills upgrading plan for rehab professionals and may be a third-party assessor

-You can contribute to the development of a local rehab talent pool (conducts technical interviews of candidates and makes recommendations, identifies training needs)

Responsibility 4 : You contribute to ensuring HI’s technical influence within your perimeter

-You contribute to the influence of HI’s expertise: you can represent HI’s technical expertise in relevant local networks and with local partners

YOUR PROFILE:

· You hold a degree in physiotherapy or occupation therapy

· You have training in traumatology and/or Burn

· You have at least 2 years of clinical experience and experience in emergency humanitarian settings

· You have experience in hospital rehab and community-based rehabilitation

· You demonstrate experience in providing technical trainings

· You are resilient to stress and uncertainty

· You show reactivity, flexibility and adaptability

· You are able to work in a tensed and volatile context with strict security measures

· You speak English fluently

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION:

-Highly volatile security context, with active conflict (including risks of shelling/bombing, ERW contamination, road accidents etc.): Close monitoring of the security situation. Strong safety and security protocols and SoP in place. HI curfew is in force from 10 PM until 6 AM every morning, following the Ukrainian rules. Movement restrictions as per SoP.

-Health & living conditions: collective and basic living conditions – base being set-up (housing, privacy).

· 3 months International contract starting as soon as possible

· The international contract provides social cover adapted to your situation:**

o Unemployment insurance benefits for EU nationals**

o Pension scheme adapted to the situation of our employees: If you already have a personal pension scheme HI will contribute at the same level of your personal monthly contribution with a maximum of 272.53€/month ; If you do not have a personal pension scheme, we will open a private pension account with your contribution of 272.53€/month and a contribution of HI of the same amount**

o Medical coverage with 50% of employee contribution **

o Repatriation insurance paid by HI**

· Salary from 2270 € gross/month upon experience

· Perdiem: 550 € net/month – paid in the field

· Hardship: 500 € net/month paid with your salary

· Paid leaves: 25 days per year;

· R&R: 5 days every 8 weeks

· Unaccompanied position

· Collective Housing taken in charge by HI
