HI, founded in 1982 in Cambodia and working today in more than 60 countries, is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict, and disaster. HI works alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, taking action and bearing witness in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.

In Cambodia, 3 projects are currently implemented in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kampong Cham, Tboung Khmum, Takeo, Prey Veng, Siem Reap, and Kratie provinces.

  • SHARE project comprises of two components:
  • Inclusive Education (IE) component: ensuring accessibility of inclusive education for people with disabilities in particular girls.
  • Rehabilitation (REHAB) component: increasing access to quality rehabilitation services and strengthening referral with the health system.
  • Accessibility project: accessibility promotion for an Inclusive and Supportive Environment for All. The accessibility project promotes and disseminates the national accessibility guidelines, as well as disability inclusion
  • Development And Risk Management (DARM) project: supporting long-term development and risk management of the Cambodian Self-Help Demining Organization.

HI is recruiting one qualified candidate to fulfill the following post:

Position: Rehabilitation Project Officer (1 position)

Location: Kampong Cham (frequent travels to Tboung Khmum and Phnom Penh)

Contract Type: Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC)

Working Schedule: Full time (40 hours per week)

Expected starting date: As soon as possible

Salary and Benefit Package: Salary rank is between USD 578 to USD 711 (based on experience) and other benefits are in accordance with HI’s remuneration policy.

Reporting to the project manager, the Rehabilitation Project Officer contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the ten-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in Cambodia. S/he contributes to the implementation of the rehabilitation component and provides technical support to the Kampong Cham Physical Rehabilitation Center (PRC), ensuring the optimal quality and impact of the component. This position based in Kampong Cham working closely with the SHARE project manager, PRC coordinator and the MEAL team.

Experiences and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics (PO) or a relevant health field;
  • At least 3 years working in rehabilitation, disabilities, and health project;
  • More than 3 years working with persons with disabilities at community level;
  • Good knowledge of rehabilitation, disability development, and safeguarding;
  • Good knowledge of project planning, implementation, and evaluation;
  • Good facilitation, training and coaching skills;
  • Strong communication, community mobilization and professional experience in the rehabilitation project;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both Khmer and English language;
  • Excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills;
  • Strong commitment and willingness to work and travel in the rural remote area;
  • Be flexible and good teamwork;
  • Good computer skills (Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, email, MS Teams, Zoom);
