Job Title:       Regulatory Compliance Consultant

Reports To:   Regulatory Compliance Practice Director 

Location:       Remote (US)

Summary:

As a Regulatory Compliance Consultant, you will work with our clients to manage and navigate the requirements to demonstrate compliance with pipeline safety regulations. This role is responsible for interpreting regulations, working with applicable agencies, and coordinating with our clients to ensure best-in-class compliance programs.

Typical Regulatory Compliance Service Offerings Include:

  • Audit Support – Prep, Data Gathering, Hosting, SME, Regulatory Response
  • Program Assessments – Protocol Questions Gap Analysis, Records Reviews
  • Program & Procedure Maintenance and Creation – O&M, IMP, ERP, PA, DP, OQ, Corrosion, and CRM
  • Program Effectiveness Reviews
  • Compliance Training
  • Control Room Workload Analysis
  • Jurisdictional Analysis
  • Conversion to Service
  • Annual Reports and Filings

 

Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Interprets CFR 192 and 195 regulations and coordinates with our clients to ensure overall compliance
  • Monitors and reviews client activities to assess level of compliance with existing and proposed regulations
  • Develops and/or reviews processes and policy manuals related to pipeline safety
  • Assists with data gathering and submittal of mandatory annual reports. Prepares and submits operating permit applications and renewals.
  • May develop and deliver regulatory compliance training programs to clients
  • May author and present papers at industry trade shows
  • Support ongoing business development efforts.
  • Ability to work well with clients and ensure an ongoing favorable relationship
  • Self-motivated and works well with limited supervision

Education

  • Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Experience will be considered in lieu of B.S. degrees.

Work Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in our typical regulatory compliance offerings is required
  • Position level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Prior consulting experience is a plus.

Communication skills:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a natural rapport builder.
  • Ability to read, edit, compose, and modify manuals and procedures to incorporate regulatory requirements in an efficient, effective manner.

Computer skills:

  • Strong capabilities in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

 

Travel:

  • Up to 20% travel within the U.S.
