- Greets internal and external customers in a polite and courteous manner. Hands off appropriately to next level of visit. Assures back entrance customers/vendors are entered per guidelines.
- Completes registration specific to visit requirements. Retrieves and obtains signatures for documents, scans per protocol handing off to next tier timely and appropriately. Initiates registration process to expedite back office functions. Completes all forms for complete registration.
- Maintains current knowledge of all insurance cards and billing necessities to obtain accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information and signature from patients (or POA) as determined by Medicare, State and Federal guidelines. Collects copays as applicable and attempts to collect any outstanding debt to facility.
- Demonstrates standards of excellence in care in all interactions, for both internal and external customers while maintaining the flow in the lobby area. Alerts others as required.
- Maintains coffee area and assure all electronic devices used are turned off. Alerts supervisor if item is not working appropriately to be serviced.
- Acts as facility operator and uses positive customer service per guidelines established by supervisor.
- Accurately balances the cash drawer and petty cash and complete end of day finance procedures, including the daily deposit.
- Completes other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma
1 year of front desk/customer service experience
