Our client is a well-established and well-reputed dry foods principal distributor. As part of their growth in the Middle East region, we are recruiting an experienced “C- level” VP of Sales to join their Dubai team.
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for spearheading the Middle East sales teams; and building a stronger distribution network in the Middle East to optimize revenue and profit growth to enable sustainable partnership expansion.
The successful candidate will have a proven strategic and tactical sales career in profitable FMCG, whole food distribution, Agri or food services products distribution across supermarkets and wholesalers.
Role Summary
- Define and execute annual and long term go-to-market strategies and roadmaps; optimal product positioning; and pricing strategies for growing the Middle East dry foods distribution network and own the region’s P&L.
- Manage distribution, sales and P&L accountability by working closely with distribution partners and their salesforce to grow the brand, volume, gross profit and market share.
- Lead planning and review meetings, pricing strategies, promotional activities to optimize sales productivity.
- Build a high-performance sales organization to increase dry foods export revenue within the Middle East retailers and distributors market.
- Establish compensation, sales incentive and training programs that enable sales managers to achieve their targets.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 10 – 15 years’ experience in a senior sales role such as VP of sales / head of sales / sales director position in the GCC having worked with international FMCG or food services brands with a proven track record of success in FMCG distribution and route-to-market strategies.
- Demonstrable experience in effectively building, leading and retaining a high-performance and accountability driven sales and trade marketing team.
- Distributor network growth and management preferably in the dry pulses, spices, grains or Agri products sector.
- Strong consultative channel selling capabilities with excellent interpersonal and negation skills at executive level.
- UAE / GCC driving license is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Currently living in the United Arab Emirates.
- Must be able to travel India as required without any visa restrictions.
- Entrepreneurial with a success mindset and the ability to inspire and lead.
- Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory.
