We have an opportunity available to join the Farrans SHE team, this role will see you completing a Regional SHE Advisor role for us based in the UK.

Travel to sites is required but we can offer this on a hybrid working pattern and you get to manage your diary (given targets and project requirements are continually met)

As an SHE Advisor you will report to the SHE Manager and contribute to implementing and monitoring the SHE policies and arrangements within Farrans. You will be in involved with supporting and collaborating across internal and external stakeholders, auditing, monitoring and measuring SHE performance, assisting with SHE reports, sharing best practice and coordinating activities within the SHE Team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Positively influence SHE leadership behaviours by your own actions, set the standard and demonstrate high standards of ethics and professional integrity
  • Plan and conduct regular audits of locations / projects SHE practices and documentation
  • Assist and coordinate the external audit programme
  • Support and assist with incident investigations and reporting to ensure company operating procedures are implemented
  • Support the SHE manager regarding regulator queries and requests
  • Lead SHE agenda to ensure guidance and support is in place for project teams in relation to regulatory and client specific requirements
  • Assist the implementation of a Farrans-wide consistent management approach to SHE requirements,
  • Support and guide Farrans’ management with a positive solutions-based approach to addressing challenges in SHE performance
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes, maintain a legal register and ensure they are integrated into the Company’s environmental management system

Skills & Experience required

  • Prior experience in construction SHE civils and or building environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly Excel & Word) and using online project document management portals, such as Deltek PIM (FOCAL), Aconex, etc.
  • Effective working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and construction management best practice
  • Experience of implementing and operating SHEQ management standards and processes
  • Working with multiple stakeholders and locations
  • NEBOSH HSW certificate
  • Full Driving License
  • Appropriate and Valid CSCS Card
