About the role:

We are seeking a talented and innovative Regional MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) Advisor – PIIRS (Program impact indicators reporting system) to support Latin America and the Caribbean. The MEAL Advisor is expected to provide timely MEAL technical assistance, and capacity-strengthening, from design, to impact reporting and use, to country offices in the LAC region.

The Regional MEAL Advisor – PIIRS will work closely with the Deputy Regional Director – Program Quality to advise country offices on how to measure their impact, support evaluation scopes of work, and consultant selection, to ensure quality. The person in this role will also work towards improving performance on the Accountability and Adapting & Learning drivers of program quality for country offices in the region.

The Regional MEAL Advisor will:

  • Ensure timely PIIRS data for country offices in the LAC region.
  • Enhance Impact Measurement
  • Serve as a focal point to improve accountability.
  • Ensure the inclusion of strong MEAL plans in proposals.
  • Support specific regional MEAL priorities and act as focal point for the region in global spaces or platforms (specific to each region)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience) in research methodologies, monitoring and evaluation, statistics, development studies, international relations or gender studies or a master’s degree
  • 5 years’ work experience in program design, M&E, and/or knowledge management in a large international organization or NGO
  • Should be familiar with existing M&E methodologies and be able to adapt them to country and organizational contexts.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Regional work experience in the NGO field is highly desired.
