CONTEXT :

The HI program was regionalized in 2020 with the creation of a Latin American scope. The 5 countries where HI worked independently until 2019 came together with the aim of improving the implementation of its social mission and doing so more efficiently.

On the continent, HI is present in Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Peru and Venezuela. As part of our strategy, we are also analyzing operations in Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama). The projects implemented by HI or through its partners in Latin America are organized around three axes: (i) health (mental health and psychosocial support, rehabilitation, sexual and reproductive health and rights, protection against gender-based violence), (ii) protection (protection against violence, inclusive risk management, humanitarian demining and comprehensive mine action, mine risk education, victim assistance, conflict transformation); (iii) inclusive education and sustainable livelihoods (inclusive education, economic and financial inclusion).

MISSIONS :

HI LATAM is looking for a Regional Logistic Manager for 2 years. Your main objectives will be :

  • Monitoring the fulfillment of contractual obligations of all its staff. Promotes the integration of your team, through periodic virtual meetings or face-to-face meetings at the national or regional level, following the organization’s governance guidelines.
  • Plan and anticipate the plans and resources necessary for the effective management of your team, setting deadlines and delegating tasks in which the competencies of your collaborators are taken into account in accordance with the guidelines of the Manager 2.0.
  • Plans, defines and coordinates regional and HQ initiatives on the necessary logistics processes, tools, indicators and resources and maintains constant communication with his team and the logistics referent at Headquarters.
  • Supervise internal control in its fields of activity, ensuring the correct application of rules, procedures and the application of the necessary preventive and corrective measures, either through its direct control or ensuring that its team performs it.
  • He oversees and coordinates everything related to technology and its implementation through the Regional I.T. Officer and in close coordination with the standards taught by Headquarters.
  • Implements the response of the safety standards, taught by the Regional Security Manager and the national manager of the same area.

PROFILE :

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Logistics. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.

• 24 months International contract starting from 1st, February 2024
• The international contract provides social cover adapted to your situation:

• Salary from 2869 € gross/month upon experience
• Perdiem: WILL DEPEND OF THE COUNTRY
• Hardship: MIGHT NOT BE APPLICABLE
• Paid leaves: 25 days per year;
• R&R: MIGHT NOT BE APPLICABLE

• Position:
o unaccompanied
 Payment for travel costs (air ticket & visa) and transport of your personal effects
o open to couples (from 3 months of mission) (
 Support travel costs (air ticket & visa) for accompanying dependent and health/ repatriation insurance if the dependent has no income/
 Mission of more than 18 months: payment of one yearly additional return flight

o open to families (more than 12 months) : package familial (REMOVE IF NOT APPLICABLE)
 a child allowance of 100€ per month, per child (from the second child) paid in the field
 Contribution to school registration fees for children over 3 years
 Family-wide health coverage
• Payment for travel costs (air ticket & visa) and transport of your personal effects

• Housing: Collective / individual taken in charge by HI
