A day in the life of a Regional Finance Specialist:
At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of Regional Finance Specialist you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist Regional Finance Officers in performing their responsibilities
- Advise Regional Finance Officers and Finance leadership on the financial management performance of assigned field offices and on the financial impact of programs, strategies, funding agreements, activities, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in regional team meetings, coordination, and planning
- Advise Finance Managers on strategies to structure in-country finance teams to ensure key financial objectives are met
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) to three (3) years of related Accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to lead in-person and remote trainings
- Ability to calculate, present, and analyze financial information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire
Job Location: Boone, North Carolina
Type: Full-Time
Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
Travel Expectations: 60 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
