This is a national position based in the Regional Office in Amman, Jordan. The role holder can be located in any SCI Country Office within the region.

Powerful and engaging communications and content is critical to achieving this ambition, whether across fundraising targets, when lobbying for political change, or raising brand and media profile. We are looking to transform the way we tell stories, creating memorable interactions for our audiences – whether they are supporters or decision-makers.

The Regional Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Media (ACCM) team is a small and nimble team, overseeing communications and supporter engagement at a regional level for Save the Children Members and Country Offices, working closely with the centre communications and engagement team.

The Regional Communications and Digital Engagement Manager – MEEE ensures that Save the Children’s work in the Middle East and Eastern Europe region has a high profile, both outside and within the organization and increases Save the Children’s brand recognition in key markets across the region and globally. The role holder will maintain overview of all the relevant projects/programmes across Save the Children Country Offices in the region and support team members in delivering information and content queries and requests. It is expected to help to produce fundraising and campaigns materials, creating facts, stats and case studies, editing b-rolls, creating share cards and social posts.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile, to help deliver communications materials and content in partnership with the Global Communications & Engagement Team, the Global Media Unit, other RO teams and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

The role leads in enabling Save the Children Country Offices in MEEE to develop communication and digital strategies that are ambitious and creative, to generate high-quality communication materials and ensure their timely and efficient communication to audiences both within and outside of Save the Children.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

* 5-7 years of experience of internal and external communications within a high-profile international organisation at a time of change and utilising a range of new and traditional media.

* BA degree in communications, media or relevant subject.

* Substantial global and regional communication and brand experience with charities/not-for-profit organisations

* Proven record of raising brand awareness, strong expertise in marketing and brand communication

* Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) in both English and Arabic with a proven ability to distil complex information and materials into digestible and inspiring messages.

* Proven record of developing high quality communication and digital media strategies

* Excellent organisational skills. Ability to manage a large workload in a pressured environment, working to short and long-term objectives and tight deadlines. Attention to detail and ability to follow tasks and ideas through to completion.

* A high degree of flexibility and adaptability in order to respond to changing needs.

* Experience in drafting communications materials such as emails, newsletter content, internet content, etc

* Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

* Demonstrable experience working with various social and digital media

* Proactive approach to work and the ability to identify and implement effective processes for achieving outcomes

* Excellent skills in proactively researching, identifying and chasing strong story leads to deliver engaging new content.

* Able to work independently and be able to take own initiative where required.

* Experience of using Premiere or Avid to edit b-rolls/film content and editing photography in a professional setting.

* Knowledge of digital, fundraising, marketing products and channels.

* In-depth understanding of different types of content and uses

* Experience in using InDesign to design infographics and photo-shop for imagery.

* Experience of online archiving systems for photos and film.

* Passion for following market trends across NGO, media, corporate, consumer sectors – sharing inspiring ideas.
