Position Overview

The Recruitment Team Member performs day-to-day recruiting activities to deliver professional recruiting services on behalf of Sutter Health. Recruiting Team Members may be located in different geographic locations. Recruitment responsibilities may include management, nursing, allied health and/or support services within hospitals or medical offices. Executes recruiting programs and services to secure qualified candidates for a specified specialty or job classification(s). Works with the Recruiting Team Lead and Recruiting Team Members to understand and execute the hiring strategy. Partners with Sourcing Team to receive potential applicant information from various sourcing channels. Screens and reviews applicants, and provides a shortlist of screened candidates to hiring managers. Manages relationships with applicable candidates by providing communications throughout the recruiting process.

Partners with other Recruitment Team Members to help execute end-to-end sourcing, recruiting and relocation processes on behalf of Sutter Health. Collaborates with shared services organization HR Team Members to help build a high-performing HR Service Delivery Team. Supports creating and building the Recruiting Team that is focused on delivering results by seeking and responding to regular performance feedback and helping in orientation and appropriate training of team members.

Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).

Education

Qualifications:

Experience

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Experience in a human resources position as typically acquired in 3 to 5 years is required
  • Experience in a recruiting function is required
  • Experience in working with multiple processes and serving multiple customers is required
  • Demonstrated success in developing innovative recruitment programs is required
  • Experience in a health care setting is preferred
  • Experience in a service delivery environment is preferred
  • Experience with a start-up organization is a plus

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Recruitment and Fair Recruitment Practices
  • Knowledge of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Fair Employment and Housing (FEH) laws, Rehabilitation Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), California Wage and Hour Laws, and immigration laws and policies
  • Must be familiar with national labor market trends and the execution of effective processes to support / operationalize recruitment strategies.
  • Must have well established concept of the contemporary definition of human resources management
  • Knowledge of recruiting best practice processes, systems or tools that enable Recruitment team to support Sutter Health
  • Knowledge of shared services center / contact center operations and associated human resource issues and solutions

  • Demonstrated public presentation skills as well as the ability to work with all levels of management or staff

  • Ability to research and resolve complex issues in a reasonable timeframe
  • Ability to navigate HR information management systems to perform analysis and generate reports as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and recruitment related applications such as application tracking systems
  • Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information
