Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust
Whilst experience in recruitment is beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for someone who will provide practical and pastoral care to international recruits as they move through the recruitment process to arrival in Harrogate. The ideal candidate will be able to plan ahead, make arrangements and then re-arrange everything when things change.
International recruitment is an important part of HDFT’s workforce strategy. This year will see an increase in the number of internationally trained healthcare professionals joining HDFT and this 12-month fixed-term role will help the programme to expand and develop. It will suit someone who can manage multiple work streams and work independently. Occasional work off site and out of hours to meet new arrivals will be required.
International Recruitment is really rewarding as you have a significant impact on the lives of HDFT colleagues moving to join us.
We not only complete the standard pre-employment checks but also provide information on everything from schools to sightseeing and arrange flights, accommodation, residence permit collection and food shopping so that newly arrived colleagues feel welcomed and supported.
At Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust we provide ‘outstanding’ care to both our patients and our staff. We support staff through benefits, health and wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for personal and professional development.
- An inclusive and supportive culture – our Trust encourages staff to bring their whole selves to work and active Staff Networks identify areas for improvement.
