Location

Global Support Office (GSO) position based in Ecublens, Switzerland.

  • Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland, can apply.
  • This is either a GSO based position in Switzerland, or remote within EU and with at least one week / month in GSO.

Role Overview

The Recruitment Marketing officer will serve as the lead for strategies and key initiatives to drive Talent Acquisition effectiveness and success. This role will partner with internal and external teams to identify opportunities, define business needs, and develop initiatives that attract top, diverse talent and potential candidates.

The person will be fully involved in the Engagement Team and will actively contribute to achieve overall Engagement and HR Team objectives of raising awareness and filling vacancies. Familiarity with social media recruitment marketing, LinkedIn, CRM, data analysis tracking and management are essential for this role. Being fully in line with strategic organisational recruitment objectives.

Project Overview

Medair Global Support Office (GSO) provides operational guidance for country programs, along with both technical and compassionate support for our relief workers.

Within our Global Support Office and affiliate offices, the Engagement Department is responsible for connecting people who can give, go, and pray in support of Medair’s programmes. We are responsible for promoting the work of Medair to the world, to raise the funds needed to run our life-saving and sustaining programs, and to help recruitment of international and GSO staff through adequate marketing and communication. The marketing and communications teams design and deliver the messaging that helps communities reach their target audiences.

Within the Engagement team the Recruitment Marketing Officer will provide strategic development and execution of recruitment marketing plans to proactively support business growth and critical openings globally.

Key Activity Areas

Recruitment Marketing

  • Proactively support business growth and critical openings, working with Recruitment Partners to identify critical gap talent.
  • Assist with candidate communications and experience from first touchpoint, ensuring that all external recruiting content is on-brand and high-quality.
  • Support alumni & new acquisitions communications, and key contact during discovery process.
  • Lead partnerships with key stakeholders across the Recruitment Team, to advise and define winning approaches.
  • Lead the execution of recruitment marketing campaigns and recruitment (head hunting) that considers user experience, candidate journey, and brand nuances across key touchpoints:
    • Leading LinkedIn recruiter activities and coach other users
    • Determining channels to leverage
    • Optimizing channel advertising
    • Building a talent network / talent community
    • Help generating a pipeline of qualified leads
    • Support converting leads into applicants
    • Managing recruiting events
    • Amplifying employee ambassadors
    • Generating employee referrals
    • Tracking, measuring and reporting on campaign results
    • Managing recruitment marketing operations and technology
    • Community management of HR / recruitment related websites and channels
  • Crafting compelling messaging that drives relevancy and interest in Medair to key talent segments, ensuring that content marketing strategies are directed at conversions and long-term engagement.
  • Leverage our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to create flexible, targeted marketing messaging while still staying true to Medair culture.
  • Analysing and delivering key performance data that demonstrates the impact Recruitment Marketing campaigns and their contribution to the growth of marketable audiences and speed of pre-applicant to hire funnel. Input into recruitment strategic objectives, building robust data and tools to track the successful usage of linkedin.
  • Leverage CRM and test different recruitment marketing products and tools to identify optimization opportunities
  • Improving our candidate experience and helping us work toward our vision of creating the same type of experience we provide to our beneficiaries.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, HR, Digital Media or in a related field.
  • Excellent written and spoken English essential, French/ German would be a plus.

Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in Recruiting/ Talent acquisition, Digital Marketing, Social Media management.
  • Developed experience with LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) and data analytics.
  • CRM software knowledge, WordPress knowledge desirable.
  • Website, Social Media and its tracking tools management knowledge (i.e. Google analytics, Hootsuite…).
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Networking and collaboration skills.
  • A good sense for inspiring, persuasive communication and current trends.
  • Close to the market, ability to identify potential of audiences needs.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills.
  • Goal and performance oriented. People oriented, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to think critically and analytically while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently.
  • Excellent listening skills to fully understand requirements and opportunity areas.

Working Conditions

The role will mainly be office-based in Goma, but with trips to remote field sites where living and working conditions will likely be more basic.
