Wiltshire Police are looking for exceptional individuals with experience in Recruitment or HR to join our busy in-house recruitment team. You will be coordinating the effective recruitment of Police Officers and staff as well as providing an excellent candidate journey.

Reporting to the Recruitment Team Leader, this post will also have regular liaison with the HR Business Partners, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team and the wider People Services department.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Providing guidance and support to hiring managers in relation to recruitment best practice.
  • Coordinating recruitment processes from the planning stage to advert then appointment for all staff and Officers.
  • Monitoring the progress of all applicants, providing timely updates to both the hiring managers and candidates.
  • Ensuring fairness and equality at all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Attending careers fairs and recruitment awareness events both in person and online.
  • Working on adhoc projects within the Recruitment team to ensure continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

  • Passionate about recruitment and getting the right people into the right roles.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Able to prioritise and handle competing demands.
  • Positive and takes a proactive approach to recruitment.
  • Experienced at working in a HR or recruitment team or have worked in a busy office environment with high quality administrative skills.
  • Having completed a CIPD Level 3 qualification or be willing to undertake this.

The roles are permanent, full time (37 hours) and based at Wiltshire Police HQ, Devizes. These roles are classed as agile, so some home working is supported.
