Position Overview

The Recruiting Logistics Team Member works with a variety of HR technologies to complete the on-boarding process of internal and external hires throughout the geographic locations within Sutter Health from date of offer to start date. The Team Member performs recruitment logistics activities to quickly, accurately and efficiently hire candidates, initiating and monitoring progress of criminal background checks, verifying employment history, and coordinating medical assessment for applicable candidates. The Team Member also follows-up with candidates to ensure all on-boarding and clearance activities are completed timely to ensure new employee begins employment on agreed start date. Depending on job and affiliate requirements, ensures selected candidate meets other applicable clearance requirements such as rehire eligibility, license, registration and/or certification, and state and federal compliance checks. Provides final clearance to hiring manager, and coordinates employees’ first day. May assist with coordinating and processing of relocation and immigration services for new hires.

Partners with other Recruitment Team Members to help execute end-to-end recruiting processes. Collaborates with other shared services HR Team Members to help build a high-performing HR Service Delivery Team. Supports creating and building a Recruiting Logistics Team that is focused on delivering results by seeking and responding to regular performance feedback, and helping with orientation and appropriate training of team members.

Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).

Qualifications

Education:

  • HS Diploma required.
  • AA/AS degree desired.
  • Basic training or education in employment laws, immigration laws, or policies desired.

Experience

  • Experience with computer data entry and general office procedures is required
  • Experience in recruiting logistics function is preferred
  • Experience in a service delivery environment is preferred
  • Experience in a health care setting is preferred
  • Experience with a start-up organization is a plus

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Recruitment and Fair Recruitment Practices is preferred
  • Knowledge of processes, systems or tools related to recruiting logistics, and relocation and immigration services is preferred
  • Knowledge of immigration laws and policies is preferred
  • Knowledge of contingent staffing procedures and systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of shared services center / contact center operations and associated human resource issues and solutions is preferred

Skills

  • Ability to perform day-to-day Credentialing Verification processing activities to ensure that customer priorities are met

  • Ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing and strong listening skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and recruitment related applications such as application tracking systems
  • Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information
