Job Overview

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Records Intern in our Records Management department. We are looking for a team member who would enjoy working for an organization that strives every day to support the public good and make a difference. This position is located in the NAIC’s state-of-the-art offices in Town Pavilion in the heart of downtown Kansas City which includes great restaurants and top-notch entertainment venues.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to sort and file company records within the file room.
  • Reception desk coverage for breaks and lunches. This includes greeting visitors and routing calls.
  • Proficiency in data entry.
  • Responding to record requests in a timely manner.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail.
  • Special assignments as they may arise.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint experience preferred, but not required.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently and possess an excellent work ethic. 
  • Must have excellent written and oral communications skills. 
  • Must be a team player who can manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Applicants must be available 20-25 hours per week, with availability Monday-Friday, 10am – 4pm.

This is a part time position that is expected to last nine months or 975 hours.

Compensation:

The pay for this position is $14.00 per hour.
