Right now, we’re looking for a caring and organised individual to join us as a Receptionist at Bayford HouseCare Home in Newbury to help us be the positive difference to our resident’s lives.

Working hours and salary

£10.35 per hour

Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Full time/part time and bank contracts available.

Should you be successfully hired in to this role, we are pleased to be able to offer you a one-off Starter Bonus of £500 as a thank you for deciding to join Bupa Care Services. The Starter Bonus will be paid to you in the next available pay run once you have completed four weeks’ service and will be subject to deductions for tax and NI. Ts &Cs Apply.

What Your Typical Day Involves

• Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
• Providing advice and support both face to face and over the phone
• Supporting the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties such as maintaining paper work and filing
• Dealing with enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed

Who We’re Looking For

You’ve worked as a Receptionist before with experience in providing excellent customer service, you’ll have a friendly manner both face to face and over the phone. You’re approachable and organised and have the ability to build strong relationships with our residents, their families and internal teams. Dedicated and efficient with an ability to handle a varied workload, but importantly, your caring attitude underpins everything you do – to make a real difference to people’s lives.

About Our Home

Whilst the home is accessible from Newbury train station, it can be tricky to access using public transport therefore subsidised taxis are offered to take you to and from the home, with pick up and drop off points at the clock tower or the Shell garage in the centre of Newbury. Bayford House provides care to anyone in need of long or short term residential and nursing care. With a real family feel, the team are passionate about providing person centred care, championing dignity and independence – organising a wide variety of activities meaning there’s no typical day here.
