Summary:

**This position requires students to work on-site in a laboratory environment with limited opportunity for remote work available. While we anticipate to have a six-month, full-time co-op, duration and hours are contingent upon Rogers Corporation’s response to the global pandemic.**

Work location: Rogers Corporation’s Innovation Center is located at the Kostas Research Institute for Homeland Security on Northeastern University’s Burlington Campus.

Transportation: Having a personal vehicle to commute to and from work is highly recommend. Carpool availability is not guaranteed. A free Northeastern sponsored shuttle from the Boston campus is available for students to use. The shuttle operates on a limited schedule and is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the design and simulation of leading-edge RF technology using electromagnetic simulation software
  • Develop MATLAB scripts or other code to support design process
  • Simulating and validating performance of designs across temperature and frequency
  • Troubleshoot general design issues and problems in a creative, timely manner to speed up design cycle

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an Engineering or Science major (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related disciplines)
  • Completed two or more years of study
  • GPA greater than 3.0
  • Can work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment
  • Effective time management and ability to contribute to multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS candidates majoring in Electrical Engineering or Physics with background in RF technology
  • Coursework or practical experience with electromagnetics, mmWave devices or systems
  • Knowledge of RF transmission line design
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Altium, or electromagnetic simulation tools
