Position: Claims Analyst

Location: Hybrid – Downtown Toronto

Salary: $32 to $34 per hour

Job Type: 5 to 6-month contract – strong potential for extension

This current opening for Claims Analyst will manage day-to-day investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of commercial general liability and first party property damage claims confirming that claims are handled in an efficient and professional manner.

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role
Undergraduate degree or college diploma
Major in Law or Insurance is an asset
2 years of experience in customer service and claims management ( legal or insurance field is an asset)
Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Certification (or in progress) preferred
Ability to prioritize and complete all claims handling related activities around the availability and accessibility of clients, third party claimants, claimant representatives, witnesses and law enforcement personnel, counsel, insurance representatives, insurance brokers
Superior interpersonal and communication skills with a clear client service orientation
Strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to adapt effectively to a changing environment
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
Proficient in letter and report writing
