We are looking for a QA specialist to join our growing software engineering team. The QA specialist will work under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Lead to monitor software quality and the technical risks associated with the software development across multiple applications and delivery teams within the World Economic Forum.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance tasks on digital products using a variety of test methodologies, including manual, exploratory, and automated testing.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases from functional requirements and design documents.
- Design, develop and maintain test cases for API testing.
- Execute manual test case and report on testing progress.
- Identify defects and drive them to resolution.
- Work closely with the nearshore and offshore QA testers.
- Assist the QA lead to coach testers and enforce test strategy.
- Work with the QA Lead and delivery teams to identify opportunities to design and implement test automation scenarios to minimize manual regression tests.
- Assist the QA Lead to define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
- Collaborate with delivery team to understand product changes and QA testing requirements to deal with issues/defects in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Education: University Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Technical skills: Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience with web/mobile application testing, API testing, end-user testing, usability testing, Java, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr test tool management, and Agile development methodology. Understanding of test automation framework and tools is a plus.
- Communication skills: Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. French language is a plus.
- Attention to detail: Ability to identify missing pieces, inconsistent information and a good eye for design, and details.
- Team-oriented: Ability to collaborate with developers, designers, and other team members to ensure the software meets quality standards.
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyse requirements, user stories and defects, find patterns and support delivery teams in investigating gaps and potential issues.
- Adaptability: Able to work on diverse projects with different technologies. Being adaptable and willing to learn new tools and techniques.
- Time management: Ability to give quick analysis upon the detection of a product defect and help with the implementation of the solution while prioritizing other tasks effectively to meet project timelines.
