PureRED is recruiting Proofreaders to join our production operations team.

We are looking for two (2) contract Proofreaders to support one of our account teams during its busy time. The position will be W2 only, meaning it is not eligible for benefits, paid time off, or holiday pay. We are expecting to need the additional support through mid-January 2023.

Please note: This position is remote, but applicants must live in one of the following US states to be considered: GA, FL, NC, PA, NY, TX, TN, NJ, IL, OH, KY, MN, CT.

As a Proofreader, Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include
Consuming and processing information between our internal agency teams – this may be customer data, sales/promotional data, product images, etc. This data may come through in an email, Excel spreadsheet, API feed, etc.
Review and manipulate this data into format that can be used to produce deliverable
Proofread deliverables created by our internal production teams to ensure they are error-free, consistent, and accurate before submitting to client for review:
Review for grammatical/numerical and imagery/art design errors
Ensure that all client brand guidelines have been followed
Repeat process until clients’ expectations have been met
Work collaboratively within a team to accomplish daily tasks and meet assigned deliverables
Keep abreast of daily (or late) changes, rules, guidelines that would affect work product and deliverables

Roughly 70% of this position is proofing. The other 30% is managing and manipulating data from the client in preparation for our internal creative team to receive. This role, albeit an entry level one, is a critical part of the total workflow, ensuring that we are meeting our commitments to our clients and satisfying their needs.

Position Requirements
High School Diploma/GED (required)
Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills (required)
Prior experience in a marketing or advertising agency in a Proofreader or Account Executive capacity OR as part of an internal marketing team (preferred)
Proven ability to accurately edit/proofread documents and images
Passion for and desire to grow within the marketing industry
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivation to learn complex programs and processes
