Purpose of the position
Plan and execute purchasing of goods and materials to meet technical specifications and production plans
Key areas of responsibility
- To plan and execute timely purchase of relevant goods and material by liaising with the production planning team and suppliers to understand production plans and inventory level.
- To create and manage purchase orders for domestic and overseas suppliers and manage the related processes.
- To manage suppliers by developing new suppliers and improving existing suppliers through regular supplier evaluation work and continuous improvement works.
- To hancontractacts negotiation and manage purchasing prices.
- To manage the month-end and year-end closing process
- To create, review and analyze the material master data in an ERP system (M3)
- To update weekly or ad-hoc reports for checking issues and solving problems in purchasing proactively.
- To make a proposal for the mold and pattern for casting and to lead the sample evaluation process for new items.
Requirements
- University degree
- Typical minimum relevant experience required: 3-7 years
- Work independently to complete given assignments
- Analyze and deal with demanding technical purchasing issues
- Analyze and improve current ways of working
- Strong Team player
- Good interpersonal skills
- Fluent or native in Korean skills
- Effective written and verbal English skills
