For the Motorparts Purchasing organization, in order to support our ambitious growth strategy, we are currently looking for a:Purchasing Analyst

Location: Gliwice, Poland

Primary Purpose(s) Of Position

The Analyst will act as the primary support for the Purchasing Manager supporting Monroe ® Shocks & Struts category in Motorparts business unit, by preparing required documentation and analyses for supplier meetings, negotiations, presentations for sourcing events, project implementation and for budget and actual versus forecast reporting.

Main Duties Performed

  • Provide assistance to the purchasing team for the development of commodity strategies, sourcing activities and project implementation.
  • Generate reporting including monthly purchase price variances, forecast, variances, and ad hoc analysis to measure purchasing performance; identify financial risks and opportunities for mitigation.
  • Evaluate blocked invoices and work with commodity buyers and plants to resolve discrepancies related to price or quantity differences.
  • Release spend report for the category and increase level of automation in reporting.
  • Ensure Capex budget tracking, consolidate tools lifetime and monitor tools conditions.
  • Prepare required documentation for internal meetings, supplier meetings or negotiations.
  • Maintain up to date commodity prices (e.g. steel, oil, rubber, plastics, cardboard)
  • Research materials and suppliers to develop an expertise related to the commodity supported.
  • Prepare and send RFQ/RFIs for commodity projects, perform financial analysis of RFQ results to determine overall cost competitiveness and formulate sourcing recommendations.
  • Maintain consistent communication with suppliers to ensure RFQ timelines are met.
  • Day-to-day activities: support continuity of supply to plant, prepare PO changes requests

Required Skills

Job requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Excel, Access, PowerBi, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in Polish and English
  • Capable to work on large amount of data and interpret results.
  • Able to go straight to the point, balance & focus on top priorities.

Educational Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Logistics

Experience Level

Required Experience

  • 1-3 years in Purchasing /Procurement and/or a Materials Management related field
