We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Accounts Payable team based within the Shared Service Centre in Paisley.

The Accounts Payable team sit within the Purchase to Pay function working collaboratively to deliver a high quality purchase to pay service for the organisation and are responsible for processing 60,000 invoices across 3,000 suppliers per annum, ensuring prompt payment which impacts on the organisation’s ability to deliver services to help people in crisis.
As part of this process the team is responsible for ensuring that invoices are approved and that goods are receipted and matched against purchase orders before payment is made. It is important that the Purchase Ledger Clerk works within the agreed processes and framework of a controlled environment.

What we are looking for…
With sound knowledge of double-entry book-keeping in an Accounts Payable environment, you must also have experience of:
⦁ Working in a high-volume accounts payable department
⦁ Working with a procure to pay purchase order process
⦁ Using computer-based accounting systems
⦁ Working to t ight deadlines**
