Aiming at the continuity of the already started efforts in Yayladağı Olive Branch will continue doing level 2 and 3 MHPSS interventions considering the recreational, sports, and arts-based activities for children to address the psychological effects of the earthquake, and for adults, hobby-based mixed with an MHPSS recreational approach allowing the participant to be productive while having joyful practicing time for positive psychological and mental impacts.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring MHPSS activities in collaboration with other members of the Central Coordination Unit based in Gaziantep.
  • Assist in compiling and sharing information on MHPSS tools and best practices.
  • Assist in promoting mental health and psychosocial well-being and mainstreaming MHPSS principles across the program.
  • Organize remote or in-person training, meetings, workshops, and other events with relevant colleagues.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, presentations, and other forms of documentation needed for the targeted interventions.
  • Organize internal meetings for the follow-up of the targeted interventions MHPSS activities, take notes, and file appropriately.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences as per need.
  • Undertake duty travel as per need.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology, Counselling Psychology, Counselling or Social Work, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience; or,
    • High School diploma with relevant professional experience.
  • Experience:

    • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Skills:

    • A good understanding of social protection and/ or mental and psychological aid for disaster-affected areas.
    • Strong computer skills and high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams Tasks.
  • Languages:

    • Turkish and/or Arabic is a must; English is desirable.
